Dr. Timothy R. Martin of Kingsport, Tennessee has been awarded Fellowship in the American College of Dentists during their Annual Meeting and Convocation in San Francisco.

The American College of Dentist was founded in 1920 to recognize dentists who have made significant contributions to the advancement of dentistry. The mission of the American College of Dentists is to promote excellence, ethics, and professionalism in dentistry. Fellowship in the College is by invitation and based on demonstrated leadership and contributions to the dental profession and society. Approximately 3.5% of dentists are Fellows of the American College of Dentists.

Dr. Martin has been practicing dentistry in Kingsport for more than thirty years. He is a past President of the 1st District Dental Society of Tennessee, a Fellow of the Tennessee Dental Association and a charter member of Mountain Empire Dental Study Group. He is also a member of the East Tennessee Academy of Dental Practice Administration and a volunteer at Friends in Need Health Center.
