Timothy R. Martin, DDS
Dr. Martin has been practicing dentistry since 1973. He earned both his Bachelor of Science and his dental degree from the University of Tennessee, where he received the Mosby Scholarship Award. Dr. Martin has also served for two years as a dentist in the U.S. Army.
His professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association, and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He is also a member of the First District Dental Society where he has served on the Peer Review Committee and held the positions of president and vice president. Additionally, he is a founding member of the Mountain Empire Dental Study Group.
Dr. Martin has earned the Fellowship Award from the Tennessee Dental Association. He is a member of the East Tennessee Academy of Dental Practice Administration. The Tennessee Dental Association has also bestowed its Volunteer Service Award on Dr. Martin for his service in Haiti and Dominica. Dr. Martin is also a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, an achievement that less than 4% of dentists nationwide ever accomplish.
Dr. Martin and his wife Linda are Kingsport natives. They have three children; Andy, Kevin and Lindsay, and four grandchildren. One of their favorite accomplishments was running the 1998 Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C.
